We are pleased to announce that Michael Tansley has joined our Tax team in Ireland as a Director.
Michael is a Chartered Tax Adviser with more than 14 years’ experience advising domestic and international clients on complex financial services tax matters. His expertise spans all major tax heads, including corporation tax, stamp duty and VAT, and he has acted on numerous cross-border transactions.
He brings deep technical knowledge of the Irish securitisation regime and fund formation, complementing the capabilities of our existing tax advisory team led by Jonathan Sheehan, together with partner Eimear Burbridge and tax consultant Padhraic Mulpeter, senior associate Michael Gallagher and associate Éire Dempsey.
Michael advises across a broad range of financial services sectors, including CLOs, asset-backed securitisations and structured finance, investment management and funds tax on both investor and fund side, distressed debt and revenue interventions such as audits and investigations.
Before joining Walkers, Michael held senior roles in leading domestic and global law firms and worked in-house at an international asset manager.
