Our Bermuda office advised Ancient Financial on its acquisition of F&G Life Re Ltd from F&G Annuity & Life, Inc. (NYSE: FG). The deal closed on 2 March 2026, and the Bermuda entity will now be renamed Ancient Re Ltd. In connection with the transaction, F&G will enter into a forward-flow reinsurance agreement with Ancient Re for multi-year guaranteed annuity new business.
We acted as Bermuda counsel for Ancient Finance, working in collaboration with Sidley who acted as U.S. Counsel.
