The annual IFLR Americas Awards celebrate the region’s most innovative legal work, with a particular focus on achievements in cross-border transactions and the firms, teams and individuals setting new standards in legal practice.
The firm received the following awards:
- Offshore Law Firm of the Year
- Offshore Rising Star – Senior associate Marah Smith
- Impact Deal of the Year (Insurance) – Advising Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited on $397.5 million expanded US IPO
The award-winning matters were led by teams across our Bermuda and Cayman Islands offices.
The Aspen IPO team included Rachel Nightingale, Natalie Neto, Sarah Demerling, Marah Smith, Amelia Oatley and Karina Skinner.

In addition to the award wins, teams across our Bermuda and Cayman Islands offices were shortlisted for their work on the following matters:
- Securitization and structured finance: The Banco Industrial fixed rate notes team included Monique Bhullar, Olga Sologub, Thea Maitland and Daniel Lee.
- Debt and equity-linked: The Avianca MidCo 2 liability management exercise team included Adam Bathgate, Joe Williams, Korin Knights and Karina Skinner.
These achievements reflect the strength of our multidisciplinary teams and their ability to advise on sophisticated, innovative and cross-border matters across key financial markets.
