Kasie advises institutional clients and ultra-high-net-worth individuals/families on the establishment, structuring, and ongoing administration of trusts and other structures designed to preserve, manage, and transfer wealth across generations or to achieve business or philanthropic objectives.
Beyond traditional private client matters Kasie advises principals and their advisors on transactions involving assets, including family-owned enterprises and investments of all types, held within trusts and wealth-holding structures.
Kasie collaborates closely with the firm’s immigration specialist to support clients moving to the Cayman Islands or relocating/establishing businesses within the Islands and in that context advises on initial licensing as well as ongoing compliance, particularly in connection with the Department of Commerce and Investment’s Trade & Business Licensing Unit.
Prior to joining the Private Capital and Trusts team as an associate in 2025, Kasie was a recipient of the 2022 Walkers Legal Scholarship.
In 2014, Kasie graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. After a five-year career in event planning then real estate, Kasie began her legal career in compliance and then working up to the position of paralegal.
She returned to school in 2021 and completed a Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Law with Commendation, followed by the Professional Practice Course at the Truman Bodden Law School where she was awarded a Distinction in 2023, all while maintaining her vocation as a paralegal.
