Itumeleng Mukhovha is a Senior Associate in Walkers' Jersey Investment Funds & Corporate Practice Group, and advises on a full range of funds and corporate law matters with a focus on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, funds flow, W&I insurance, real estate transactions, global reorganisations and restructurings.
Itumeleng is an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer. Her practice includes mergers and acquisitions, downstream private equity transactions, private equity capital raising, joint ventures, sale processes of distressed assets, corporate restructures, global reorganisations, acquisition structures, funds flow, unbundling transactions, takeover transactions, offshore investments and W&I insurance.
Itumeleng has significant experience advising leading global investment firms, private equity funds, multinationals, ultra-high-net-worth individuals, sovereign wealth funds, family offices and generally, clients across a wide range of sectors and industries. Geographically, Itumeleng has experience working with clients from across EMEA, Asia, Australasia and the Americas.
She has a natural ability to build strong, positive, professional relationships with clients from various industries as well as different cultural, racial and gender lines. She prides herself in making sure she gets to know her clients' businesses to help them navigate the most complex areas of the law and works tirelessly to help them achieve their goals.
She has published several articles across Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East and the United Kingdom, and publicly appeared on business news channels across Africa on business and investment topics.

Experience and recent work
Itumeleng began her career as a corporate lawyer at Baker McKenzie, with a focus on cross-border and local mergers and acquisitions, mining transactions, commercial transactions and global reorganisations.
In 2019, she moved to a firm where her practice focus was on downstream private equity transactions, private equity transactions, private equity capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, W&I insurance, funds flow, takeover bids, management buy-outs, build-up of platforms, sale processes of distressed assets and general corporate advice on direct and indirect investments.
Itumeleng joined Walkers in 2024. She previously worked at another international law firm in Jersey.
