Hughie Wong is a partner in Walkers' London office, and the co-head of the firm's London Investment Funds Practice Group.
He has more than 25 years' experience in private practice, and advises clients on matters of Cayman and BVI law mainly in relation to hedge, PE and venture capital funds – including digital assets and crypto-currency funds - and also on their downstream corporate and financing matters, including structured finance, M&A and regulatory issues.
Hughie is recognised by Chambers & Partners, Legal 500 and Who's Who Legal for the quality of his advice.
He works with onshore counsel, investment managers and funds on issues relating to the set-up and launch of investment funds, their financing and all aspects of fund activity and regulation, as well as fund restructurings and distressed situations.
Prior to joining Walkers in 2008, Hughie trained and qualified at Slaughter and May in London, where he spent 13 years.
