Our Corporate team acted as Cayman Islands counsel to Kira Pharmaceuticals on its acquisition by Nasdaq-listed Jasper Therapeutics, Inc. in an all-stock merger, creating a combined company focused on developing therapies for immunologically driven disorders. The combined company raised $132 million through a private placement to support the development of its pipeline through the second half of 2028.
The combined company will focus on advancing innovative therapies for immunological and immune-mediated diseases, including KP-104, a dual-complement inhibitor for the treatment of paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria and nephrology disorders, briquilimab, an anti-KIT antibody for transplant and immunologic indications, and KP-701, a novel dual-acting monoclonal antibody for autoantibody-mediated disorders.
