We are pleased to announce that we have acted as Cayman Islands counsel to Neuberger Specialty Finance ('Neuberger)' and Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Ltd ('DAE'), on the establishment of the Mustang platform, a landmark aircraft leasing co-investment platform.
Mustang will enable both DAE and Neuberger managed funds to acquire a diverse fleet of aircraft and support the fleet needs of airlines worldwide. It will deploy capital steadily over a long-term period to build Mustang into an entity of significant size and heft.
Mustang will target a significant investment in aircraft assets over the medium term, supported by committed warehouse financing from various institutional lenders.
The transaction reflects the continued interest from private equity and institutional investors in the aviation sector, as aircraft leasing remains an attractive asset class amid rising lease rates and persistent demand for modern, fuel-efficient fleets.
