Matt Bernardo is based in the Walkers' Cayman Islands office where he is a senior counsel in the firm's Global Investment Funds Group. He advises on a broad range of matters including private equity fund formation and mutual funds, as well as general corporate matters.
Prior to joining Walkers, Matt worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group of the Melbourne office of one of Australia's leading law firms, King & Wood Mallesons. There he had extensive experience advising on a number of high profile public M&A transactions (including takeovers, schemes of arrangement and demergers), as well as private M&A transactions. He also has experience in corporate restructures and general corporate advisory matters.
