Bethany Oakley is an associate in the Global Investment Funds Group of Walkers' Cayman Islands office.
Bethany advises investment banks, investment managers and private equity houses on a wide range of private equity and hedge fund matters, from the structuring and formation of funds, downstream activity to de-registration and winding up. Bethany also has expertise in general corporate and M&A transactions.
Bethany is a member of the Walkers FinTech Group. She advises clients on the establishment and structuring of foundation companies as well as cryptoasset, decentralised finance and blockchain funds.

Experience and recent work
Prior to joining Walkers in 2023, Bethany was an Associate in the Corporate group at Pinsent Masons LLP in Birmingham. In this role she gained broad experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructures and corporate advisory. As part of her training Bethany undertook a secondment to E.ON UK, one of the largest suppliers of energy in the United Kingdom.
