Adam Bathgate joined Walkers’ Bermuda office in 2020 where he is a partner in the Corporate, Finance, Funds & Insurance Group. Adam specialises in banking and finance transactions involving Bermuda companies and partnerships.Adam regularly advises asset managers, public and private companies and financial institutions on a variety of transactions including leveraged and acquisition finance, syndicated lending, asset finance, general secured lending and financial restructuring. He also has experience in the field of investment funds, including the formation and ongoing maintenance of private equity, real estate, infrastructure and hedge funds.
Adam began his career with Clifford Chance, initially in London and later in Munich, where his practice focused on leveraged and acquisition finance and financial restructuring. He then spent almost eight years in the Cayman Islands, where he worked at two other leading international offshore firms, before relocating to Bermuda in 2018 and joining Walkers in 2020.
