Martin Davies is based in Walkers’ Cayman Islands office where he is a partner in the Global Investment Funds Group. He specialises in private equity fund formation and investment transactions, and general corporate work.
Martin has extensive experience advising in investment funds of other types, including hedge funds, and acts on behalf of a large number of the major private equity houses and their onshore counsel; fund managers based in the United States, Europe and Asia; investment banks and financial institutions; and corporations.
Martin completed his professional training with Walkers and was admitted as an attorney at law in the Cayman Islands in 2010. He has worked in various jurisdictions for the firm including Singapore and London.

At Walkers, Martin is a member of the Trainee Committee and is responsible for selecting, mentoring and supervising legal scholarship recipients. He also serves on Walkers' Charity Committee.
Martin is also a Notary Public in the Cayman Islands and member of the Cayman Islands Legal Practitioners Association. In addition, he is a member of the Refugee Protection Appeals Tribunal and a Director of the Cayman Islands Tennis Club.
